As an elementary music teacher, nothing makes me happier than seeing things click for students.
But because of my non-traditional route to music education, I felt like I had to prove myself as a serious teacher. Needless to say, that didn't click for me or my students.
In time, I learned that meaningful music ed needed to be more personal and meet kids where they were. Along the way, I realized that being a different musician was actually one of my strengths.
Now, I support teachers looking to switch things up with different kinds of lessons and activities that help students grow musically and personally!
